Bridges to Prosperity Project Blog

At the end of 2018, WilkinsonEyre and COWI are proud to have completed a 43m suspension bridge across the river Sebeya.

The project was run in collaboration with Bridges to Prosperity, a global charity who work with local communities, partners and foundations to build footbridges that connect residents to education, health care and economic opportunity. Designing, building and maintaining environmentally sustainable bridges across the globe, the initiative aims to “connect the rural last mile to the rest of the world” through helping to fight rural isolation.

Watch the team build Kazabe Bridge in the video above and read their blog posts for an insight into life on site and their experiences in Rwanda.
