Union Street Bus Terminal opens at CIBC SQUARE

Over the weekend, the new state-of-the-art Union Street Bus Terminal located at the base of 81 Bay Street - the first phase of CIBC SQUARE - opened to the public. Replacing the old Union Street Bus Terminal which closed just three days earlier, the new 23,000sqft terminal is spread over two levels and offers a total of 14 bus bays — twice as many as before.

Designed by WilkinsonEyre and Adamson Associates, the new terminal provides a covered connection to the city’s PATH network, allowing GO and UP Express passengers easy and direct movement between bus and rail. As a result, the new, enhanced Union GO Bus Terminal provides a safer, more convenient, and more efficient transit experience, with better connections to rail and subway services as well as other popular destinations.

The new elevated ‘Skypark’ connecting both towers will be built above the Union Station rail corridor by 2023. Find out more about the CIBC SQUARE development here.
