Three WilkinsonEyre projects shortlisted for the World Architecture News Awards 2019

Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology, CF Eaton Centre Bridge and Eddington, Lot 1: North West Cambridge have been shortlisted for the World Architecture News Awards 2019. Now in its eleventh year, the 2019 WAN Awards recognise the outstanding works of innovative, visionary and imaginative architects worldwide.

WilkinsonEyre completed work on the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology in May this year, consisting of 63 modular pods of student accommodation, stacked and angled around the campus to create an undergraduate village.

Eddington, Lot 1, a part of the larger North West Cambridge development provides 117 one and two-bedroom homes each achieving Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5 and BREEAM Excellent. The project has created an exemplary community with generous landscape, public space, local amenities and an attractive, safe streetscape while creating elegant, sustainable homes.

CF Toronto Eaton Centre Bridge revitalises a connection between two shopping malls in downtown Toronto. The dynamic sculptural form creates a civic landmark for the City of Toronto, designed to enhance the experience of the urban realm for both passers-by and for the bridge users within.

The winners of each category will be revealed at the WAN Live Award Ceremony on 24 October.
