Architect: Transport Lead, Network Rail experience desirable

WilkinsonEyre is looking for senior, enthusiastic design-orientated architect to join its transport and infrastructure team. Candidates should have substantial experience from design to construction, and direct experience of working within the particular assurance and standards for transport projects.

Impressive candidates will have experience in taking a lead role in liaising with engineering and authority counterparts and in driving forward design and facilitating approvals and delivery. You will be able to demonstrate a combination of design, technical and management skills and be able to take an active role in digital production. Previous experience on Network Rail projects, (particularly in the role of CRE) would be an advantage.

Personal Assistant

We are looking for an organised pro-active individual with a flexible attitude who will use their skills to provide support for Directors (and their teams where necessary) and contribute to the wider offer.  This role offers an efficient PA the opportunity to enjoy contributing outside of normal day to day PA duties, developing a level of autonomy in their work. 

Standard PA duties include

  • Diary Management
  • Email management and filing
  • Travel Bookings
  • Timesheets
  • Expenses
  • Occasional (infrequent) reception cover such as lunch cover as part of a team rota
  • Attending/minuting meetings as required and managing associated paperwork and follow up tasks
  • Personal tasks (such as booking holidays)

Wider Opportunities

We like to be inspired by candidates and their skills to better understand the tasks they enjoy and would like to expand on.  Historically, this has been wide-ranging, and PAs have contributed differently depending on their professional interests. Examples include:

WilkinsonEyre is looking for a talented digital artist to join our central London office to work on a wide range of exciting projects in the UK and overseas.

The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for storytelling, artistic composition and lighting and a stylistic approach to imagery as well as photorealistic skills. Experience in Unreal Engine is essential. They will work as part of an in-house team working closely with the project teams to help develop the schemes producing artistic stylised imagery.

Junior / Mid Level BIM Coordinator

WilkinsonEyre is recruiting for a full-time, permanent BIM Coordinator to support BIM utilisation on several exciting projects.

We are especially keen to hear from those with experience in facilitating architectural design through advanced modelling techniques and information management processes -especially- across RIBA stages 2- 3.

Main responsibilities:

Support project BIM Leads and the project BIM Manager:

  • Attend project BIM Strategy and coordination meetings with external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and run internal BIM Coordination meetings.
  • Federate BIM models and data.
  • Monitor and review progress of BIM deliverables against deadlines.
  • Perform and/or delegate model maintenance.
  • Assist with the ongoing development of WilkinsonEyre BIM infrastructure (standards, processes, templates, content).
  • Ensure compliance with the BIM execution plans and the WilkinsonEyre Digital Production Standards. and communicate information requirements to project teams.
  • Provide technical-software support to BIM Leads and information Authors.
  • Update the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and supporting documentation.
  • Follow-ensure best practice in modelling and project setup.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project content libraries.
  • Manage spatial coordination (internal clash detections).
  • Ensure suitability of information for issue to the Common Data Environment (CDE).

Experience -skills:

  • Architectural background ideal.
  • Large project BIM coordination using Autodesk Revit.
  • Project information management in line with ISO19650.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working with multiple teams on multiple projects.
  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.

Software:

  • Advanced in Autodesk Revit.
  • Revit model checkers (e.g., Solibri, Autodesk Model Checker for Revit).
  • Popular Revit addins (e.g., Autodesk BIM Interoperability tools, Ideate tools, pyRevit, Diroots…).
  • Common Data Environments (e.g.; Autodesk Docs for AEC).
  • Coordination platforms (e.g., BIM Track, Autodesk Design Collaboration).
  • Rhino-Revit interoperability (Rhino.Inside, MKS BEAM) -desirable.
  • Visual programming (dynamo, grasshopper) and/or programming languages (Revit API - python/C#) -desirable.

Commercial Coordinator

WilkinsonEyre is hiring a Commercial Coordinator to join its team in London.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the role would be varied and fast-paced, and will involve coordinating the commercial elements of a wide range of new and existing projects right across the practice.

The job will involve:

  • Supporting the Commercial Director in the Commercial Management of all existing and potential new projects in the office.
  • Preparing Fee proposals for both UK and international projects
  • Reviewing contractual terms and liaising with company insurers
  • Preparing resource plans and assisting in forecasting project costs
  • Supporting the maintenance of the commercial and financial information on all new and existing projects.
  • Supporting the preparation of analytical reports to support the monitoring and management of the financial performance of projects.
  • Managing the administration of contracts, appointments and sub-consultancy agreements for all live projects
  • Working closely with the bid team, the communication team and the company directors

Profile:

  • A background in administrative/financial/legal roles within the Design or Architectural industry would be an advantage
  • Understanding the Architectural Design process, including the RIBA Work stages (Or international Equivalent) is preferable
  • A general understanding and appreciation of key aspects of Architectural, or design consultancy Appointments or contracts would be an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and responsive attitude
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills, including the ability to adapt and change plans or direction, often at short notice
  • Strong numeracy skills & attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and parallel commitments
