Junior-Mid Level BIM Coordinator

WilkinsonEyre is recruiting for a full-time, permanent BIM Coordinator to support BIM utilisation on several exciting multinational projects. 

We are especially keen to hear from those with experience and passion in facilitating architectural design through advanced modelling techniques and information management processes -especially- across RIBA stages 2- 3.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support project BIM Leads and the project BIM Manager:
  • Support project BIM Leads and the project BIM Manager.
  • Attend project BIM Strategy and coordination meetings with external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and run internal BIM Coordination meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with the BIM execution plans and the WilkinsonEyre Digital Production Standards and communicate information requirements to project teams.
  • Educating design teams in BIM related software.
  • Provide technical-software support to BIM Leads and information Authors.
  • Ensure best practice in modelling and project setup and that BIM is used to its full potential by actively engaging with the project teams.
  • Update the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and supporting documentation.
  • Federate BIM models and data.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project content libraries.
  • Manage spatial coordination (internal clash detections).
  • Monitor and review progress of BIM deliverables against deadlines.
  • Perform and/or delegate model maintenance.
  • Ensure suitability of information for issue to the Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Assist with the ongoing development of WilkinsonEyre BIM infrastructure (standards, processes, templates, content).

Experience -skills:

  • Architectural background ideal.
  • Large project BIM coordination using Autodesk Revit.
  • Project information management in line with ISO19650.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Self-confidence and persistence.
  • Comfortable working with multiple teams on multiple projects, a team-player, and yet capable of working independently.
  • Exhibit an open and positive attitude to helping teams out both with basic issues or more complex requests and questions.
  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.

Software:

  • Advanced in Autodesk Revit.
  • Revit model review (e.g., Solibri, Navisworks, Autodesk Model Checker for Revit).
  • Popular Revit add-ins (e.g., Autodesk BIM Interoperability tools, Ideate tools, pyRevit, Diroots…).
  • Common Data Environments (e.g. Autodesk Docs for AEC).
  • Coordination platforms (e.g., BIM Track, Autodesk Design Collaboration).
  • Rhino-Revit interoperability -desirable.
  • Visual programming (dynamo, grasshopper) and/or programming languages (Revit API - python/C#) -desirable.
  • Data visualisation (Microsoft Power BI) -desirable.
  • AutoCAD 2D -desirable.

Architect: Transport Lead, Network Rail experience desirable

WilkinsonEyre is looking for senior, enthusiastic design-orientated architect to join its transport and infrastructure team. Candidates should have substantial experience from design to construction, and direct experience of working within the particular assurance and standards for transport projects.

Impressive candidates will have experience in taking a lead role in liaising with engineering and authority counterparts and in driving forward design and facilitating approvals and delivery. You will be able to demonstrate a combination of design, technical and management skills and be able to take an active role in digital production. Previous experience on Network Rail projects, (particularly in the role of CRE) would be an advantage.

Sustainability Coordinator

WilkinsonEyre is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator to join its team in London.

WilkinsonEyre are expanding their sustainability team to support the design output of the practice and to continue to ensure good environmental design is at the heart of all that we do.

Our sustainability group plays an integral role in our architectural approach and includes architects and engineers supporting our designers with technical, analytical and modelling expertise. The sustainability group conducts regular reviews on our projects, from competition through all stages of design, and is a catalyst to the development of integrated design concepts to support sustainability outcomes.

The role involves supporting the design teams with environmental modelling and analysis, applied research and post occupancy studies, carbon reporting and communication of sustainability concepts.

We envisage the ideal candidate will have the skills and experience:

  • postgraduate qualification in environmental design or equivalent experience should be demonstrated
  • a qualification in architecture and experience in architectural practice (preferred but not essential)
  • a good understanding of UK building regulations, RIBA stages and wider construction industry context
  • knowledge of leading sustainability principles/initiatives: RIBA 2030, LETI, Architects Declare
  • a good understanding of computational design and environmental simulation processes, and use of IES-VE, Energy plus, PHPP or similar
  • strong parametric modelling skills using Rhino, Grasshopper, Ladybug, Honeybee
  • knowledge of embodied carbon calculations, and use of One Click LCA or similar
  • working knowledge of Revit (preferred but not essential)
  • strong graphic/visual, written, and verbal communication skills

Based in London and working primarily on UK projects the role will also involve design review of our international portfolio of project work and liaison with our offices in Hong Kong, Sydney, and Paris.
