Aesthetic design of main span options for 7.6km crossing of the Yangtze River forming part of the Suzhou-Nantong Expressway, including an inverted ‘Y’ pylon cable-stay solution with 1088m main span and an H-frame tower suspension bridge with 1510m main span. The cable-stay option was finally adopted, and was completed in 2007 to form the world's longest bridge span of this type.
