Bridge Learning Campus
This new multi-generational campus, which forms part of the Bristol BSF initiative, ambitiously combines five educational centres - a nursery, secondary school, severe learning difficulties centre, student support and a vocational college - on one campus. The overall capacity is for 1,685 pupils. With central catering and administration serving the heart of the campus, each ‘school’ maintains its identity within the larger whole. Primary and SLD children are self-contained but benefit from close proximity to the central LRC and music facilities. The sloping site is used to provide a change in scale across the campus: single storey for primary and SLD at the top of the hill, stepping down to more ‘civic’ two storey accommodation around the main entrance.
