WilkinsonEyre is recruiting designers for transport-orientated projects to join its team in London, UK.
We are looking for motivated, talented and energetic people to join our designers working on current and future transport projects in the UK and internationally, from scheme design through to construction support. We particularly welcome designers who understand the customer experience and journey from end user’s perspective and who are equally dedicated to develop and protect beautiful and memorable architecture that will stand the test of time, and understand how it can be delivered.
Applicants should have 5–10 years’ architectural experience, with proven RIBA Stages 4–5 and major project experience across all packages considered essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical capability, particularly in building envelope design and complex MEP coordination, and be confident coordinating directly with engineering consultants and contractor counterparts at senior level.
Candidates with previous experience on transport projects (particularly rail and metro) while not essential, will stand out and Rhino, Bentley 2D & 3D and AECOSim are strongly preferred. Knowledge of HS2 and rail standards would be an advantage.
The combination of design and technical skills will enable successful candidates to take an active role in developing both scheme and technical design as well as digital production.
Successful candidates will enjoy working in a team (including mentoring more junior roles) and contributing in a hands-on manner on exciting architectural design work that is underpinned by the vibrant company culture of our multi-award winning practice.
In addition to competitive salaries, various benefits are offered to employees, including private medical care (BUPA), contributory pension scheme, group life assurance and group income protection, contribution to gym membership, amongst others.
WilkinsonEyre prides itself on being an equal opportunities employer and all candidates will be treated fairly regardless of age, race, sex or disability. We want every candidate to feel respected and those invited for an interview (remotely or in person) will be warmly welcomed. We are looking forward to being inspired by talented designers interested in introducing their work to our practice.
