Paul Baker was instinctively drawn to the personalities within the practice – and their approach – when he first joined Wilkinson Eyre. 'We're doing good work because we try harder than most. The best architecture is a result of inventiveness and creativity, but also endurance. You have to keep your eye on the original concept, and our strength is that we manage this. The final designs still have the vitality and excitement of the initial sketch. Much of our work is very strong from a sustainability perspective – that complete, holistic approach is very appealing to me.'
