Oliver Tyler was attracted to Wilkinson Eyre by the practice's innovative attitude. 'I like the fact that we are always trying to achieve architectural interest no matter what the project. This attitude has persisted right from the practice's early work. Because many of our projects are in the civic realm, they tend to take on iconic status. We always try to create something that is more exciting in form than other buildings of its type.' Oliver believes that social awareness is of vital importance in architecture. 'You can only achieve true sustainability through the commitment of the whole team – it's a collective effort.'
