The diversity of contexts in which Wilkinson Eyre was building was what first attracted Geoff Turner to the practice. ‘We’ve achieved planning consent in some challenging locations, and these are the projects that I’ve most enjoyed - working with the clients to fit the architecture into a historic and social context, rather than designing within a ‘blank canvas’. This way the design becomes an architecture with real meaning behind it.’ Geoff also enjoys the collaborative process, working with both the client and fellow consultants : ‘The dialogue and interface is what I like, working with the team on the development of the brief, and carrying it through to a resolved design.’
