Dominic Bettison is the director responsible for the Asia Pacific region and has delivered some of the practice's most impressive projects such as the 440m-high Guangzhou International Finance Center, which is one of the tallest buildings in world. The tower and associated podium development contains commercial office space and a 350-room 5*plus Four Seasons hotel, a grade A retail mall, residential apartments and conference/ banqueting facilities. Among other awards, it won the RIBA Lubetkin Prize for Best International Building in 2012 and the CTBUH Best Tall Building Asia & Australasia in 2011.

His portfolio also includes the 330m-high Wuhan Qiaokou tower, the 16-storey landmark development at 10 Brock Street in London for British Land and the Hauser Forum at the University of Cambridge which provides office and research space for start-up companies.

Dominic recently led the team that won a competition to redevelop an area of downtown Toronto, Canada. Informed by his experience in the East, the development comprises two high rise towers connected by a park and integrated into Union Station, a new city bus terminal and the Toronto Path Network.

Dominic is a member of CTBUH and has lectured on high rise developments at conferences around the world. He was a guest speaker at the ‘Ultra High Building Summit’ in Shanghai in 2008 and at the Annual Tall Building Conference in 2009 in Shanghai and in 2012 in Hong Kong. Dominic was also a guest speaker at the Office Building Conference in Kuala Lumpur in 2013.
