When Anna Woodeson joined Wilkinson Eyre in 2001, it was the lack of stereotyping
that attracted her to the practice. ‘You can walk in and be working on almost any kind of
project typology – there’s no pigeonholing.’ She particularly enjoys the robustness and integrity
of design encouraged by the practice. ‘We concentrate on distilling the idea to find the simplest,
strongest diagram. And yet at the same time we’re pushing the boundaries in terms of material and so
on. In the right design environment, even the most unlikely building types can turn into something
special.’
