Talented architect wanted to join WilkinsonEyre’s award winning bridge team

WilkinsonEyre is looking for a talented architect, or an experienced part II architectural assistant to join its London based, award winning bridge team. Candidates must be enthusiastic, have a thorough understanding of geometry and possess excellent 3D CAD skills in either Rhino with Grasshopper or 3D Microstation with Generative Components. Experience in bridge design is an advantage, but not essential.

The successful applicant will:
- have excellent design and detailing skills with a strong interest in structural design 
- have a technical and analytical mindset
- be proficient in 2D Microstation, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- be proficient in job running with excellent client interface skills 
- have flawless verbal and written English

The team works closely with engineers from the outset of a project and candidates must be open to this working method. Those who believe, like us, in the expression of structure with a purity of form are encouraged to apply.

Architects

WilkinsonEyre is recruiting for several exciting projects including prominent London based developments.  We have both permanent and fixed term positions to fill and invite applications from a range of seniority beginning at entry level Part 1, through to job runners. We are especially keen to hear from talented Part 2 Architectural Assistants.

Revit, Microstation and Rhino proficiency are all preferable, and for more senior positions candidates with hands-on UK based site experience will stand out. But above all, if you are creative, talented, hard-working and boast a beautiful portfolio of work, we want to hear from you.

Architect/Senior Architect (Transport)

We are seeking a talented design architect (or RIBA Part 3 equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years’ post Part 2 experience, whose portfolio of work demonstrates impressive proficiency in a range of transport-based work including station design, package coordination and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will join a team working on major central London stations, leading coordination of specific elements of the design and ensuring compliance with relevant codes of practice and regulation.

Excellent written and spoken English presentation skills is essential along with experience of collaborating directly with consultants and other interested parties within the transport sector. As a team player, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and be able to engage others in the design process. Expertise in Projectwise, and Microstation and/or AECOSim, with good hand-drawing skills and the ability to develop and test conceptual designs would be advantageous.

Preparing detailed multidisciplinary reports and working to tight deadlines are all part of this Central London based role in EC1.

Year Out Programme

At WilkinsonEyre we support and nurture the architects of the future. This is managed through our formal ‘Year Out’ programme dedicated to providing 12 months of paid employment to graduates who complete a three year degree in Architecture. Our Year Out placement process begins in early June but we accept applications all year round. We do not offer unpaid internships.
