Planning permission granted for WilkinsonEyre's revised City tower

The City of London Corporation has granted planning permission for WilkinsonEyre's revised 6-8 Bishopsgate/150 Leadenhall Street Tower.

Revised plans were submitted in May following the approval of a number of other towers in the eastern cluster that impacted on the original proposals, which were first approved in July 2015. The new design adds a further ten storeys, totalling 120,000 ft2 of space to the previously approved plans.

Approval has now been secured for the fifty-storey office tower which will sit at the corner of Leadenhall Street and Bishopsgate. The development will encompass a distinctive ‘stacked blocks’ design, with retail units on the ground floor and a viewing gallery at its summit. The scheme will now provide over 570,000 ft2 of space to let.
